In your opinion, who is most to blame for the Larry King murder?
The circumstances surrounding the tragic death of eighth grader Larry King are complex. The social dynamic was multifaceted and many persons were involved in the unhealthy dynamic between Larry King and Brandon McInerney. The parents were indirectly involved in how they raised (or abandoned, as in Larry’s case) their children, and the school played a role in arguable not doing enough to ensure order and stability at EO Green Junior High. But in the end it is Brandon himself, immature and “troubled,” who is the most to blame for having made the incredibly bad choice of bringing a handgun to school and shooting Larry King to death in the computer lab on February 12, 2008. One life ended (Larry, murdered), another life largely ruined (Brandon, long-term prison inmate).
